• Pre iGCSE

The pre-IGCSE courses are designed to help students develop strong foundations in English Language so that they are able to move onto I/GCSE level study with confidence when they are ready. The sessions provide an opportunity to explore and build understanding of a wide range of genres and the courses are suitable for all boards.

Each pre-IGCSE course consists of a series of ten recorded webinars. Courses are available for students aged approximately 11-12 and 12-14, although this is a guide and the courses may suit slightly older or younger students depending on ability and prior knowledge.

For all pre-iGCSE/Key Stage 3 webinars, you can opt to attend live or watch the recordings. All students have access to the recordings for the duration of the term, so they can review what we have covered at any point.

The sessions are lively, informal and lots of fun with plenty of interaction via the chat. As I record sessions, there are no cameras or mics for safeguarding reasons.

I take a holistic approach to learning and this is reflected in the material which develops cross-curricular links and explores connections with other subjects including geography, the sciences and history and more.

All lessons are accompanied by a range of supplementary resources and an optional written task for students to complete if they wish.
