UKS3 recorded webinars: People and Places

A series of ten webinars suitable for students aged around 12-13 years old, although they may suit slightly older or younger students depending on ability.

This course is themed around People and Places. We’ll be journeying around the world as we explore a variety of text types, (letters, articles, journal entries, speeches, interviews and reports), as well as audience and purpose to develop students’ English skills.

A wide range of supplementary resources will be provided including links to relevant articles, news reports, websites and documentaries to give students the opportunity to broaden their reading and build their knowledge of effective writing as well as extend their vocabulary and understanding of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Recordings are made available via Google Classroom, so students are able to review what is covered in each webinar at any time. An optional written task is also provided for students to complete if they wish to.
