Academic mentoring and support
As a qualified teacher and experienced tutor as well as a long-standing home educating mum, I am able to support students and parents who are currently home educating or are considering home education. I can offer advice on learning approaches and facilitating your child’s education, the various options available and navigating the exam system. In addition,
I can help parents and students devise learning programmes and determine educational goals. I provide mentoring services to students seeking to develop their confidence. I offer online support and advice.
Past paper marking service
I offer a past paper marking service and can set mock papers, grade and provide detailed feedback as well as in-depth guidance on how to strengthen responses. Charges are £40 per paper.
UCAS application guidance and advice
In recent years, drawing on the experience I had assisting my older two daughters secure places at Russell Group universities, I have been supporting students with the UCAS application process and, in particular, writing their personal statements.
Professional report and reference services
I provide professional reference and report writing services and have produced assessments for students seeking to gather documentary evidence of their child’s educational ability and potential. I have worked with students and parents applying for Local Education Authority,(LEA), Special Educational Needs, (SEN), support. Typically, students submit work to me via email, which I use as the basis of assessing their knowledge, skill and ability. This may be accompanied by a Zoom call to discuss support and the student’s requirements.
